It's been 3 months since Belt-san disappeared. Shinnosuke returns to his unmotivated mode. Even though he's transferred to Section 1, he doesn't have any confidence to take up cases.
One day, Hongaji Jun asks him and Kiriko to investigate a case secretly. There has been a series of unscientific crimes in town and nobody can explain what happen. Their only lead is a monk and a college girl who happen to be in every crime scenes. They are the acting head Daitenkuu Temple, Onari and a physics student Tsukimura Akari. When Shinnosuke and Kiriko visit the temple, they see Kamen Rider Ghost (Takeru) chasing invisible ganma. Gou made Professor Harley to make Shinnosuke another belt so he can transform into Drive.

Just when they thought they can beat the ganma, a black hole suddenly opens in the temple basement, sucking Shinnosuke and Takeru to the past. In that universe, Takeru's father, the ghost hunter is still alive. He's striving to defeat ghost who attacked little Takeru and Akari. But, he's just human.
What's the meaning of this time travel? Can Takeru and Shinnosuke close the case?
