6 months ago roidmudes attack earth, causing global freeze all over the world. Their ability to slowdown time leads to various accidents and disasters. Tomari Shinnosuke also affected from that events. He witnessed his buddy lost under metal explosion. Now, even after being transferred into special unit,  Tomari  has turn into daily slacker.

One day, he's assigned to investigate case where people were attacked by monsters. After the global freeze, slowdown appears here and then to announces the monster's attack. When Tomari finally gets chance to face the monster, the belt on his car instructs him to transform into Drive.

After such disappointment from Gaim, this series offers much more promising show. First, the reason is clear. Drive is like detective dorama, which make stable plot. Second, the main cast is detective, kinda remind us to W, right? *well, it's natural because Drive is written by Sanjo Riku sensei, the same main writer for W.* I like it when our hero has dependable profession. It gives more reality touch. haha. Third, adorable villains. I know, the villains had been much more attractive recently. It's different from the past where villain is the one you hate the most, nowadays villain is handsome, sexy, adorable and gather a lot of fans, like Basco (Gokaiger), Enter, Kazari (OOO), Kirihiko (W),   or Zed (Tokyuger). Here in Drive we have trio Roidmude Executors: Heart (Warabino Tomoya), Brain (Matsushima Shota) & Chase (Katoono Taikou). I bet you've seen them somewhere. It's weird to not paying attention to those beautiful faces, right?
