The Classic Music Department and Chinese Music Department at Zhongxia Music Academy’s Affiliated High School are always in a feud. The classic students look down on the Chinese music ones, while the later think classic students are too pretentious. Even a silly social media post can create a ruckus among them.
However, Cheng Jin, the sophomore who studies Yangqin has a crush on senior Wang Wen. But, this senior doesn't even care about her, or the fact that she's playing the similar instrument (Yangqin is like Chinese' traditional piano). So, she comes with an idea of showing off her skill. She begins inviting students to play in her band, but since everybody is occupied, she stuck with a group of otaku. To her surprise, they're really good. The band later got invited to perform in anime con and they become viral through the net.

This is a fun musical movie. I'm not familiar with the instruments, but it's so cool when they start playing it. You don't have to like Chinese music to understand how good it is. Music has a wordless way to convey feeling.
I admit I started watching because the main actress, Xu Lu, is playing in Tribes and Empires. She looks so different in both. She has the potency to be a great actress, I hope she makes it big later.
