Poor Maneki Kei! Since he found dead body 20 years ago, he often encounters death scenes, whether it’s suicide or homicide. Set the eerie feeling aside, being the first one discovered the dead means he often treated as suspect.
Even now when he works as an unpopular model, he can’t escape his bad luck. First, the project leader of the watch he endorses is smashed by a broken chandelier, then the rival model found dead in the audition room. As the first who found them, Maneki Kei becomes the material witness (juyo sankounin) also the main suspect. Before he's taken into custody, Maneki Kei analyzes the facts and solves the case to clear his name.
Maneki Kei has the potency to be a great detective, but he chooses to suppress his ability. This potency only appears when he's in pinch. That's one explanation about how people only use 10% of our brain power. We let it sleep and most of the time...we have no idea how to push it to the limit. We think we have reached the end of our ability, but there's always room for improvement. The key is how to trigger that potency. For Maneki Kei, it's the fear of being pinned as a murderer. How about you?
Well, there's nothing amazing about the case, because the main point of this series is to celebrate Maneki Kei's bad luck. lol. Even so, you still can enjoy those beautiful faces.
