This is a story about two guys competing to be the leading star in Kabuki’s world. One is Kawamura Kyonosuke who was born in noble Kabuki family. He’s been trained since little to hold up the 400 years’ of Kabuki tradition. Even so, he hardly takes this job seriously. On the other hand, Sawayama Ichiya has been so obsessed to shine in Kabuki world despite of being just ordinary person. He works harder than anyone. He even tries to use his master’s daughter as stepping-stone to get bigger roles.

While trapping in their race, they are linked in love triangle with a poor girl named Chiba Ayame. Ichiya once promised to Ayame, that he’d be great Kabuki actor. On the other hand, Kyonosuke boosted up his motivation to lead his family name because Ayame praises him.
Oh, Tama, you’re so cute, yet so stupid. I don’t even know why did the director chooses him to play this high school prince, but we can skip that aside because he plays much better than Ikemen Desu Nee era. Though both characters share the same tsundere style, Tama seems like taking his acting lesson seriously now.
Now, about Kawashima Umika. Doesn’t she look much chubbier now? Haha. She’s cute and her interaction with Tama just soooooo adorable *shipping them already* I think this is the biggest reason to keep me watching. The idea of Kabuki player itself is rare. I’m trying my best to understand it, just to come up with the conclusion that cross-dressing is one of Japanese’s roots. So, stop screaming over idol with skirt, will ya?!
AS you can expect from Johnny’s dorama, JE’s talents are everywhere. Yuma looks beautiful, as Onnagata and I can’t stop thinking him as a jerk for using his master’s daughter. XD. This is the first time for me to see Hokuto playing cheerful role. Jesse has been taking my attention since Biblia. His role as Kyonosuke’s best friend is nice. Well, he looks fitter as high schooler than Tama, right?
Nah, there’s something wrong here. Even though Goro Papa plays as Kyonosuke’s father, I don’t see other Amyumen in this series. Whyyyyyyyy? Do I miss someone?
