Yokomichi Yonosuke come from Nagasaki to starts his freshman life in Tokyo. He’s an ordinary man trying to live in the crowd of capital. On the first day of his college life, he meets his best friend, Kuramochi, and another colleague named Akutsu Yui. Yui drags the two guys to join samba club. No matter how Yonosuke says he dislike the dance, he finds himself sucking into the practice. However, Kuramochi and Yui quit the college soon after that because Yui got pregnant. Though they’re no longer in the school, Yonosuke keeps supporting the young couple.
Yonosuke, then, gets interested in party girl named Chiharu. She’s so stylish, rides a BMW, and is lot older that Yonosuke loses confidence asking her out. He tells his problem to a cool classmate named Sato. The guy suggests him to take driving lesson with him.While hanging out with Sato, Yonosuke gets to know rich girl named Shoko chan who’s completely falling for him. They get along very well to the point they finally realize that they’re dating.
After 15 years, each people whose life was touched by Yonosuke’s cheerfulness remind him in smile. He’s so ordinary, there’s nothing much to recall except for his sincere laugh.
My favorite part is when Yokomichi plays his samba video in Kato’s apartment and Kato asks him to turn it off. The sounds seeping into his body so without him realizing it, Kato is already dancing on his own. hahahha. Go kun, so funny!
Kora kun gets award for this movie. Well, sassuga desu neeeee. With that kind of hair, nee? *lol*
