The movie starts with a divorce. Weiwei's husband is asking for separation. The ex-husband finds himself new wife immediately: the sexiest girl in the game universe. But, that's okay. Weiwei and her ex-husband were only married in game. Weiwei doesn't care. She's the only female among top ten players. Soon, she gets another husband. It's the number 1 master, Naihei. He makes the most beautiful wedding which makes the ex-husband's jealous.
In reality, Weiwei is the freshman in Computer Department. Like many of the girls in her class, she admires the senior, Xiao Nai. Not only he's smart and good looking, he's also good in sport.
What Weiwei doesn't know is that her online husband and the senior she had a crush on is the same person.
The movie is made based on a novel by the same title. If you're interested in reading it, you can find the epub here. But, for me, the movie is enough. I'm not into the long romantic story. That's the reason I don't watch the series version, as well. Sorry, Yang Yang. Chinese modern romantic drama tends to point on cheesy scenes. It's cute when it comes in a small amount. But, it's tiring when you have to face it for 30 episodes. Unless, you like the cheesy things. XD
I know it's hard to pack everything in 1 hour 43 minutes long movie. Some scenes seem fast forwarded. It doesn't give enough time for Weiwei to develop and realize her feeling toward Xiao Nai.
I won't say Jing bao handsome, but he's charming here. I have not yet watched a lot of his works, but I'm getting used to seeing him bullied and intimidated or rejected (see Monster Hunt or The Rise of Legend? lol). So, this is kinda refreshing. Jing bao being perfect guy at school is actually not bad.
I don't ship him with Angelababy, but they're cute. Angelababy gets the greatest role fit her personality here. I like her being passionate and strong.
