Inoue Kiki was originally dreamt of becoming idol. But, she’s forced to retired as underground idol as soon as she reached 21. Now she’s working as part-timer at convenient store. She reviews sweets sold in the store and publish it to instagram. Her judgment help the store to manage the store’s sale.
One day, she’s invited by the store’s chain president to develop new sweet. This president, Asaba, is ambitious and rude, but he got his eyes straight to the goal.
There are people who keeps facing difficulties in life: Rejection and not being picked. They make them wipe all the hope. Traumatic events scare them to move on, to have faith in theirselves. They lack of self-esteem. They come to think that if they don’t set goal, they won’t have to deal with failure.
Though I believe that only the person involved can get it together, other person can be catalisator to revive him/her. Asaba here is the one who gives hope for Kiki. The one who believes in her (although he says it in wicked words), but it gives her a reason to fight.
Shintani Makoto is also a good second male lead, kinda makes me wanna pair him with Kiki. I carve it in my mind when Makoto and Kiki’s invention rejected by Asaba. Makoto starts working for new because he can’t and don’t want to run from his job. It’s called professionalism.
