Tong Xiao You is the unlucky girl. Even so, she dreams of becoming a designer and finally got to work under the demonic chief editor of a fashion magazine. Instead of giving her a path to designing, the editor, Lu Xing Cheng drills her as his assistant. One day, Tong Xiao You accidentally kisses Lu Xing Cheng and she starts getting lucky. She gets to interview the boss’ nemesis, Lu Ren. She gets an offer to be a lead designer in a new fashion company. She gets attention from handsome Lu Yan Zhi.
On the other hand, Lu Xing Cheng begins his fall. He lost the job, had to sell his house, run from social climber girlfriend, and now he decides to live with Xiao You. Watching Xiao You’s enthusiasm, he starts to regain his old passion as a designer.
So, is this all about luck?
There’s this line from Lu Xing Cheng that kept bugging me: “hard work is more important than luck." I don't deny hard work is important, but there are people who keep trying yet don't fruit in accomplishment they want. Like some people looking for a job. They keep posting and sending applications, with no reply.
Yes, we can say maybe it's not their time yet. But, they also say it's not your luck, yet. So, isn't it important?
Anyway, this drama started cutely but got boring easily because Xiao You becomes the girl always needs to be saved. It's a big no for me. I thought Jerry Yan could be mesmerizing but he's stiff. The second male lead looks handsome, but his character is too much? He's a man with superhero syndrome, forgetting that he needs more help himself.
In short, I dropped this after 12 episodes.
