Xiao Meng's parents are volcanic researcher. She lost her mom on explosion of Tian Huo's erruption. After losing her mom on volcanic eruption years ago, Xiao Meng determined to finish what she started: making detection system of volcanic eruption. The area has been turned into luxury resort with Tian Huo's volcanic tour as the main attraction.
Just when Xiao Meng completed her system, the volcano coughs. Xiao Meng tries her best to save the guests and villagers.
This should be a nerve wrecking thriller, but the scenes often cut in wrong time and the main lead can't convey the right emotion. At the end of the movie I was like "that's it?" It has potency, though.
Although in disaster movie, you can't do much. You can't outrun the 1600km/hr hot lava, right. So, she barely can save anyone except her own team and her father. Wouldn't it be more gracious if she can help more?
However, the idea should be noted. Money always comes first. It's humane. In every disaster story, there's a scientist being ignored. Human is so arrogant.
