My Roommate is A Detective

Lu Yao is a stock manager at Sassoon Bank. A gangster died after a quarrel with him at a party. To proof his innocence, Lu Yao works with young inspector Qiao Chusheng. The inspector finds him very smart and meticulous. He asks Lu Yao to be the police consultant.

Lu Yao has to accept the offer because he runs out of money. He lost his job because of bad ethic and now have to share his apartment with a witty journalist, Bai Youning. Although they keep bickering day and night, they cooperate really well. 

Bai Youning is good at collecting information, Qiao Chusheng is strong and has a lot of connection, and Lu Yao is the one putting the pieces together. The division of each character is clearly cut, making each contribution important. 

Lu Yao is a smart man with less emotional quotient. He was born from a rich family, but choose to cut ties with his old man to live independently. He's good at his studies, but no employer can stand his attitude, except for Qiao Chusheng.

This guy is hot. He climbed his way from being a porter into a mafia official under Mr. Bai. To gain more significant power, the mafia boss put him as a police inspector in Shanghai. This way the black dan white worlds are both under his control. But, Qiao Shucheng is good police. He knows what's right and wrong. He also excelled in managing emotion, easily divide what's good and bad for him and the mafia family.

Bai Youning is Mr. Bai's only daughter. She has a high sense of justice, not afraid of defying her father just to get the truth out. She works as a journalist in a local tabloid. I think she should write novels instead of a news one because there are too many fantasies in her writings. She just wants to make a phenomenal story, though. 

Since she was born as young missy, she has a domineering attitude. She's not afraid to live in the same apartment with Lu Yao. In fact, she's the one bullying him every day. It's very much to my liking. I love a strong girl with confidence. It doesn't mean Bai Youning do not require saving, she does. And when she's in need, she never playing the victim. She pulls her chin up with pride. Best girl!

God, I am not even a fan of any actor in this series but they are so damn good. They crack me since the first episode.
