Over Again

Zi Yang, Si Lin and Si Jia are best friends. One day, Zi Yang accidentally cause Si Lin's brain impairment. Si Lin can no longer read. The outstanding student has to drop out and work in a book cafe. Because of that, the trio stop speaking to each other.

One year later, Zi Yang jumps to the river on his 18th birthday. Si Lin found his bag of coins which turn out to be the key to time travel. He repeatedly turns to the day Zi Yang killed himself. But, no matter what he did, the present is never changed.

He finally realizes the coins don't leave to change the future but to create better memory for them. Turning back the time has given them the opportunity to apologize and confess to each other.
Another low publicity movie that makes me weep. I'm used to watching a time travel story where they alter their fate. So this one is refreshing. Whatever you try to change the past, it won't create a new future. It only makes feel better...for a while. Then, you'll have to accept it and move on.
Love this idea.

Having Neo Hou and Peng Peng as main leads also help me enjoy the movie. Lately, I've been seeing so many Peng Peng. Good for him. His face really suits this unconfident Zi Yang. Very cute. And of course, Neo Hou must play the popular guy. He's handsome and charismatic. The casts are perfect. At first, I don't know the actress playing Si Jia, then I checked again: she's actually playing sexy assasin in Game Breaker. So different.
