After working for such narcistic boss for 9 years, Secretary Kim decides to resign. The boss is really shock when he learns about it. It’s not easy to find someone as capable as she is, not to mention she’s the only one who can cope with his eccentric behavior. So, he tries to change her mind by asking her to marry him. Of course, Secretary Kim rejects him because no normal girl would be happy to be with such nerdy.
In Korean entertainment world a perfect man is the one with great body, high work achievement, and rich. Thus, this guy is the best speciment in that world. Although, in reality he has very big foul: being overly dramatic in loving himself. It’s clearly an abnormal behavior. In his case, it seems he adopt the behavior because people keep praising him (since he’s rich). So, he believes everyone is liking him. That’s why he feels hurt when Secretary Kim said he’s not her type. It breaks his pride.
It’s not easy to change someone who’s been idioticly fond of himself for so long. But, that’s one of the plot people keep pursuing. It’s similar to gangster turned sweet after falling to a woman. This drama also forces the path that the narcistic becomes more considerate to Secretary Kim because he wants her affection.
I don’t believe it, but that’s the dream sold by kdrama. My friend told me not to apply too much logic when watching kdrama (Thank God I only watch very few of them, or I’ll go nuts). Kdrama’s ultimate purpose is not to train your brain, but to feed your biased hallucination. Lol.
