Kaga has been looking for his mother's companion for 16 years. The mother, Yuriko, left home because of depression and the next news he heard was she passed away in Hokkaido. She had a lover and Kaga would love to talk to him about her. But, the mysterious man seems doesn't want to be found.

Years passed, yet Kaga hasn’t lost hope. One day, Matsumiya Youhei consults him about a case of a dead saleswoman found in a shabby apartment in Tokyo. It’s not her apartment and she’s not even live in Tokyo! On the apartment calendar marked with names of Tokyo’s bridges, just like the one found in Yuriko’s calendar. Could this case relate to his mother?

It’s been 7 years since Shinzanmono aired its first season and it’s still one of the most amazing detective dorama I ever saw. The charm of this drama sets on ordinary police work. No super memory guy, no secret agents, just dedication and meticulous work. The simplicity is truly charming. It’s the type of slice of life clashing detective story that Japanese so great about.

As the 5th production of the installment, Inori no Maku ga Oriru Toki continues to bring A-list actors to suck our emotions.
