Okay, it smells so much like Detective Dee (which by the way, I can hardly wait for the third movie next year). Look at these episodes title: (2) Vengeance of Psychic Cat; (3) The Tower of Death; or (5) Throat-reaper Lord Guan. IKR? It's the kind of detective story where they explain the so-called-mystical phenomenon and unveil the culprit behind. When people encounter unexplained events, they quickly jump to superstitious. It happened that era, it still happens now.
The one thing bothers me is the background scenery. Most of them look like coming out from computer graphic. Meaning they didn't work it well causing me to notice. I know there are a lot of Chinese shows shot in the studio. It's fine, as long as you get good graphics. Bad ones are eyesores!
Anyway, who is this handsome looking guy? He looks like Jimmy Lin with better posture. yummy! His character, Li Zhi is a noble with strong justice. He might not the most brilliant officer, but he's not an idiot either. He's fair and willing to sacrifice himself for his friends. He's someone you can rely on tough times.
The fooling around Samo is funny, but I sense his thick makeup. Looks like a kpop idol, ha???
He's a thief, mostly stealing food. He's like a child making pranks here and there. Despite being a genius, his hard work is barely noticed. Thus, he ends up becoming a waiter in a restaurant own by ex-bandits. I love when he makes stupid expressions. He's quite attractive.
On the other hand, this girl is an idol and can't hide her idol aura portraying well-knowledge young missus. I kinda ship her with Li Zhi, but they look like childhood best friends and had no intention to make the relationship deeper. Well, I just watched the first 5 episodes, who knows what happen next.
