The new transferred student, Yosano Suzume is seated next to sadistic handsome prince, Mamura. Suzume tries her best to make friend with him, but he’s so bitter. Compared to their homeroom teacher, Shishio sensei, Mamura is so cold.
Shishio sensei is Suzume’s uncle’s junior. He’s  sweet and warm. Suzume can’t help but fall for him. However, Shishio sensei rejects her, making Suzume in a deep heartbroken state. At the same time, the woman hater Mamura shows interest in her.

Oh, this is one from the manga I never read. Well, I don’t read shojo manga lately. In fact, I barely have time to read any manga for the past 3 years. Hu hu.

The story is quite simple: a girl is touched by the guy who helped her. Sounds cliche, ha? But, instead of ending with the first man she loves, she decides to care about the second lead. It was Shishio sensei who met her first, gave her the sense of first love, but she realizes being with Mamura is a better option. In another story, a typical shojo one, the girl usually ends up with the first man. It’s like an unwritten rule of shojo story. So, no matter how “indecent” the relationship looks from outside, they still go for the flaming feeling. This is where Hiruunaka no Ryuusei takes a different leap. I feel that Shishio sensei is mature enough to sort his feeling and conduct. He rejected Suzume. I love him there.
An adult should act like an adult. They shouldn’t fall for emotions so easily. They shouldn’t trap in passionate love without thinking clearly. That’s what makes kids and adults different, right?
A lot of stories prefer imbalance love, where the two have too many opposite points. If you’re just looking for a dating partner, it’s cool and refreshing. But, the adult usually picks the one for their long-term partner. You can’t date anyone who always needs to be rescued, right?
