Yasutake Shingo still wants to marry Chie even though she's diagnosed with breast cancer. After struggling for 8 months in hospital, Chie is finally healthy enough to hold wedding ceremony.
The family lives in rural wishing Chie to get better. But, then Chie got pregnant. This could be dangerous for both baby and the mother. The couple's life is shaken, but Chie decides to give a birth.
Hana is the best gift for their life. Although they're very happy, Chie's cancer recurred. Chie becomes mentally unstable and Shingo has to work extra hard to take care of Hana and Chie. On her brighter days, she manages to teach Hana various things about life.
Life is not bed of roses, for sure. Whatever choices we took, we'll have to fight the thorns. It's natural that we grow tired of suppressing our ego. We fight, says bad things to our beloved ones. But, one thing I know for sure. If the one really loves you, he won't turn away just because of few ugly words.
