What won't a mother  give to her children? Nothing. Mother will do anything. This dorama takes you to the world of single mother. NO, not the mother who work in good company, then let her children live independently to the point they’d start behaving bad.

This is a story about a young single mother named Aoyagi Koharu who barely well paid so she needs to work really hard to feed her children. She has two children and she’s been single since the youngest was just a baby.
Koharu takes double part-time jobs that she, sometimes, must leaves the children alone at night. She realizes that she can’t handle this without help, so she applies for welfare allowance. However, the system doesn’t grant her wish because she still has mother to rely on. Now the problem is that she’s broke ties with her mother for 20 years. How can she comes and begs for her help now?

Life is complicated because accumulation of small things. This story seems so natural for me, because life is not (always) bed of roses. I heard some of my friends say they love it so much to be welcomed by the smile of their children. It seems like the hardwork paid. But, now I understand more when Koharu says she’s really worried even when she rush home. She can’t get easy even when her children hug her after work. It’s because she’s afraid she can’t raise them well. She’s scare that they won’t eat tomorrow. Mothers have those kinds of thoughts.

Seeing this dorama makes me wonder why there are people who throw away their kids? Those who left them in the street? Those who make them work for them? Can you call them mothers, too?

I come up with new definition of mother today. It’s not the person who give birth, but the one who takes care of the children, protects, and teaches them so that they can face the world bravely when they grow up someday.
