Cleopatra no Onnatachi

| Aired: 2012
| Episode: 12
| Cast: Sato Ryuta | Kitano Kie | Ayano Go | Miura Shohei
Mineta Kishi is an idealistic plastic surgeon that starts a new job in Beauty Surgery Clinic. Though he’s a good surgeon, he never did any beauty surgery before. Moreover, he believes that everyone should not make fuss on how their looks. That’s why it’s kinda hard for him to adjust in the new office where everyone is so pretty and promotes surgery to motivate life.
Fall in his dilemma, he finds it’s confusing whether to suggest the surgery or not. Every surgery has consequences, physically, sociologically and psychologically.

Hmm,  I think this dorama is a great way to understand how and why people undergo surgery. Plastic surgery has always been in pro and contra. People always look for better performance, because it does help improve your quality of life. Beautiful people are often in advantage, right? However, when one takes extreme action like plastic surgery, she must have been very depressed.  It’s a big step, not only to your face but also to those around you. What if you come home and your parents didn’t recognize you? Wouldn’t it be awful? A total change also an insult to the one who gave birth to you, right?
At the other hand, people have rights to change how they look. It’s their lives and you may never know what kind of burden they take on their shoulders. The small mole may be a disaster for some people, but other with brighter vision may never complain about it.

Anyway, I think Sato Ryuta is perfect for this show. His stiff image suits the role of an idealistic person. Look how many beautiful people in the show. I didn’t like Kitano Kie, but she looks cute here, especially when she stands next to Shohei kun *I think they look so great that the marriage rumor dispersed*  And hey, Ayano Go is there too, as Mineta’s friend, Yu. Ehm, I just started seeing Yu and Mineta as a couple, because Yu looks so care about him. Awww
