Kamisama no Akanbo

This is a story of Iwadate couple who have no children despite of being married for years. The husband, Shuichi, is machinist and his wife has a small flower shop in town.

One day, a passenger left her newborn baby in Shuichi’s train. He, who never hold baby before is filled with anxiety and joy. While looking for the baby’s mom, Shuichi is reminded of their young days. He and Mizue decided to abort their baby back then. They were too young to hold such big responsibility, probably this baby’s parents also feel the same way.

It’s a short drama with lots of tears coming my eyes. XD. First, I though Iwadate couple got their karma. They were given, but they didn’t take it. So they have to spend next 20 years without kid. Lonely. Yes. However, at the end of the story, Shuichi says to Mizue that he wants to be with her forever. At that moment, the loneliness of no kid seems like a trivial. As long as you have someone to care, life is meaningful. *i’m crying again*
