Kotaro wa Hitorigurashi

A 5 year old kid move into the room next to mangaka Karino Shin. He's polite and discipline. Shin can't help but looking after him, like showing him bathhouse or letting him watch anime in his room. Kotaro, the kid's name is actually much mature for his age. He quickly gains favours from his neighbors. But, why does he stay there alone? What's wrong with his parents?

It lured me with the title "living alone" (hitorigurashi). You know how Japanese dorama often depicts single life as pitiful, lame and dirty. Well, this is no exception. Karino Shin is a guy with lack of  hygiene. His room is full of trash. Even Kotaro comment his lousy place. If a child can distinguish how bad your living condition is, you must be very awful.

But, the focus is not Karino Shin. I have never watch a story about 5 yo living alone and I'm intrigued. It looks like a light drama with family problem.
