Fan Shuchen, Shi Weichong, Ji Xuanli, and Li Yangyang are friends from high school. As they're approaching 30, they're busy with their own career. Fan ShuChen and Shi Weichong are directors of Public Relations agency, Fei Lin. Yang Yang is already chief editor of a sport magazine and Xuanli works as manager of premium spa.
You can't always predict what happen at work and in love, but these kids get through the troubles by helping each other. Fan Shuchen finally falls in love with the newbie in the office, Lin Ziyu. However, it's not easy for them to be together because Lin Ziyu's step brother is Luo Zhuoliang who was mentor for both Shuchen and Weichong. Years ago, he took a bribe and escaped to Australia. Now, he's back with agenda to destroy Fei Lin and Shuchen.
It's such a cute friendship story. Maintaining friendship is a hard work. It doesn't have to be torturing, but everyone must put contribution to it. I think part of the secret here is everyone is on the same level..of career, time, and single. And even if one coupling up, the couple gets to be part of the team. Knowing your friend's partner give sense of belonging, for both of the friend and the partner.
It's normal to have different opinions, even fight each other. But, after every conflict friends will find each other most precious. They won't hold grudge and easy to apologize. *sigh* being friend is not easy. It requires skill. You can't think that someone will always stay with you if you're only taking but never giving.
Not gonna lie, Im here to see Zhang Yunlong. He’s really gorgeous in My Roommate is A Detective and I need to see those smile again. I sort out his projects based on the co-stars and this is the one with favorable actors/actresses for me. Thank God he’s not playing a tsundere CEO. Damn, that would kill my mood in instant. His character as Fan Shuchen is shiny knight who can fix every problem. He’s a workaholic and putting his most effort for the work, but he’s so cute when he falls in love with rookie, Lin Ziyu. It’s his first love and I can imagine how sweet.
Lin Ziyu is played by Qiao Xin. I love her in Nirvana in Fire. She seems to fit the image of naive and not so bright young woman. Having body of a model, her facial expressions are always pretty. I love it when she smiles, but not when she frowned or cry. Unlike other characters, this Lin Ziyu is a bit inconsistent. First, they show that she lacks of confidence, but she has guts to “spit” on her boss, Fan Shuchen. As someone who’s raised to be shut down by step mother, its normal if she’s afraid to speak her mind. That’d be greatest protection. On the other hand, she has skills and achievement as artist, she should’ve been able to build up some confidence. So, one time she’s strong, the other time you she looks like damsel in distress. I feel like looking at multiple personality here.
Maggie Huang is really beautiful and she fits her role as Ji Xuanli. Xuanli knows shes beautiful and she enjoys people serving her as queen, but she’s not arrogant. This role is perfect for Maggie Huang, it really pulls out her beauty.
I’ve been wanting to watch Dai Si, but never found the interesting drama. She’s charming as energetic Li Yangyang. Tough, but willing to ask for help. Aaaaaah. She’s my type of heroine.
Liu Ruilin is not handsome, but not bad looking either. It’s his performance as Weichong that captivated me. You can’t hate Shi Weichong. Although he makes trouble here and there, you just can’t leave him alone. This boy is childish in mature body, making his friends focus all their care to him.
