Internet celebrity Zhao Feng was just making video of him climbing skyrapper when he slips. He lands in terrorist’s deals. Agent Bruce from mysterious organization, Phantom, comes and ruin the deal, but lost the masterminds. She forces Zhao Feng to help sneaking into terrorist’s den in Hungary to steal new chemical weapon. Zhao Feng takes his friend Ding Shan and his assistant, along with Interpol agent disguised as Zhao Feng’s fan.
Sneaking into villain’s house might be easy, but the consequences are nothing like they imagine. The bad guys are ruthless and eager to destroy. Can these rookies save the world?
I like that more movie covers social influencer, knowing that this is the reality of today’s generation. We’re dying to be famous on internet and willing to do a lot of crazy stuff to gain attention. Esteem, the third stage of Maslow’s Hierarchy of needs can be fulfilled by likes, praises, and the envy of others. That ability to show off, to the point of paying “fake opponent” is just a way to reap wow. Is it worth? Probably. We’re all have different way to feed our needs. As long as you’re not harming others, why not?
Darren Wang is great for this kind of role. He’s not handsome and he can pose a lot of weird mimic. He brings clown Zhao Feng to my pleasure. And I never expect Timmy Xu to be so cute. I never watched any of his work before and his hair is awful here, but it can’t cover his good look. On the other hand, Sandrine Pinna is not as gorgeous as her role in Legend of the Demon Cat. I understand her character is supposed to be stiff, but she’s supposed to be young girl, right? She doesn’t look that refreshed.
I’m quite entertained by Milla Jovovich’s scenes. Is that her real voice? Sounds like a robot. She adds the funny element to this movie. Also the 5 minutes scene of currently popular actor, Xiao Zhan. I’m glad this movie shows at the peak of his popularity. I hope he can get main role next time. I’d love seeing his action in modern story.
