500 years ago, Xue Ling Qiao almost died because of leopard bite. The doctor prescribed him all kind of poison to counter the leopard poison, unexpectedly turned him into immortal. He possesses rapid recovery, he moves in lightning speed, he can even jump to higher place without mechanic assistance.
100 years ago he was beaten and threw to the ocean. His blood was drained and he preserved as a mummy. One day, a research firm borrow his dormant body for cell research. The transport truck crashes into a car drove by an actress named Tian Jing Zhi. She suffers a fatal wound, but her blood reaches Xue Ling Qiao and revives him. Xue Ling Qiao gives his blood to Tiang Jing Zhi to save her. She, then, helps him find the person who took his blood 100 years ago.
The synopsis above may be lack of romance part. But, if you just read the main idea, it kinda interesting. That's what keep me watching the whole 28 episodes. However, this is an idol drama. Of course, the romantic plot between Tian Jing Zhi and Xue Ling Qiao get extra attention. I don't like the tug and pull relationship like this. It's toxic. I'm not into a woman who'd lower down her pride for a man who doesn't want to be with her. It's okay for a teenager, but Tian Jing Zhi is a grown-up woman. She's already 28! Such a bad example.
Even so, I'm so in love with Wu Qian. She's pretty and attractive. On the hand, the male cast doesn't fit the character of a strong, reserved, and reliable person. No, not with that mushroom hair and skinny leg.
My favorite character is Tian Jing Zhi's 6th ex-boyfriend, Ye Chen. What's not to like from a smart man with a nice fashion? His character is the opposite of his professor who would do evil to get the result. Ye Chen is what we call a respectable researcher. Plus, I'm currently liking the actor, Xu Ke, after watching The Plough Department of Song Dynasty.
