Detective Chinatown 2

| Release: 2018.02.16
| Cast: Wang Baoqiang | Liu Haoran | Tsumabuki Satoshi | Xiao Yang | Natasha Liu Bordizzo
The nephew of Uncle Seven (China's Godfather in New York) was found dead. He was killed brutally, with his heart removed. Uncle Seven gathers detective all around the world and assigns them to solve the case in 7 days. There's a U$5.000 for the one who can bring him the murderer.
Chin Fong is fooled by his uncle, Tang Ren to join the contest. Using information from NYPD, they narrowing suspect to an illegal immigrant who teaches Mandarine in Chinatown. The guy's name is Song Yi. But, Chin Fong realizes he doesn't meet the criteria of the profiled suspect.

Uncle Seven's stepson comes to steal the spotlight. Ignoring the detectives' deductions, he captures Song Yi in motive to kill him. The stepson has been doing business Uncle Seven hated, so he might not get the inheritance when the Godfather passed away. So, he needs to change his luck now.
Chin Fong and Tang Ren save Song Yi, making the three of them fugitive now. They have no other choice but to solve the case before the deadline or they were captured by the cops.
The second installment of Detective Chinatown follows the same pattern with the previous film. First, mixed racially. Now they add not only westerners, also from Indonesia, India, and Japan.
Second, they're always on the run. Seems like the recipe to do a great job is when you're in distress. haha. Third, there's also another culprit, the one whose crime can hardly be proven.
So, overall this is a very amusing movie. It's not only because of I dear Liu Haoran, but also Tsumabuki Satoshi. Although Bukki only appears for few minutes, he brightens the day. His character is actually served to lead us to the next movie which will take place in Japan. The movie is set to be released in 2020, though. Can hardly wait.
