Cecile no Mokuromi

Miyaji Nao is a 34 years old housewife who live for her family. One day, she's scouted as reader model for fashion magazine, Vanity. Thought she could make extra money, Nao accepts the offer. However, the road to be a model is not easy. 

People think housewife always chooses the easy way. They can't take harsh judgement and they don't need to prove themselves. There are times Nao wanted to quit, too. But, she doesn't want to be classified as one of the lame housewifes, so she determines to succeed.

I've seen this kind of drama before. Remember Fukiishi Kazue's Barairo no Seisen? Both promotes the idea that housewife doesn't need to doll up. Being housewife means taking care of the family, thus she often neglecting to take care of her own appearance. This plain woman is "excited" when given opportunity to shine outside the house. 

Once again, this story shows that marriage is overrated. It doesn't guarantee happiness, especially for woman. Some actually want to get self respect from other people. Some want self esteem. 

So I come to conclusion that what makes us happy is not status or in this case-marriage. It's how we're grateful for what we have. Housewife being happy as the center of the household, husband cheering the woman who takes care of the family, model being content with her purpose. If you ask for more while violating other people's right or feeling, there'll be only disaster. Housewife trying to be model is okay, but if she forget about her husband while doing that, then she's fall from the road.

Cecile no Mokuromi is full of shining stars that pleasant to my eyes. Charming Kaneko Nobuaki should brings women's attention. Handsome comedian Tokui Yoshimi also makes attractive appearance here.

Even so, I'm not into this plot. XD
