5 girls are forced to join dance practice to make up their skipping dance test. They have to perform in the town festival if they want enough credit to pass. These 5 girls are plain ones who strive to climb social status in school. Nishihara Azusa keeps playing a good friend of the popular girl, Katase Narumi finds it better to have an online relationship; Ozawa Hazuki brags about her family's wealth; Kishimoto Tamaki focuses on the study, and Kijima Mika acts like Yankee. They just want to be noticed.
Dance lesson is boring at the beginning. Even though the PE teacher, Fujiwara Sensei already invited professional trainer, Keny. However, as they spend more time together and the steps become easier, they start to fall in love with dance. After managing to perform in the festival, the begin to ask for more. They want to perform on a better stage. But, there are so much to sacrifice....
This is a movie about high school girl's reality. Teenagers find it hard to be neglected by her peers. Everyone wants to be accepted. Everyone just needs a place to belong to. Finding the place, Nah that's the one million dollar question.
It's a simple story you can watch for the weekend. I think we're all somehow find it relatable to ourselves.
Even so, my ultimate motive watching this is because of that Gene's song. I watched the trailer and fell in love with it instantly. XD. And of course for Yu-chan and Daito (omg, he's a jerk in this movie).XD
