Miyama Hiroto is a poor criminal lawyer who always strives for the truth. He's scouted by Madarame Haruhiko, the boss of the famous Madarame Law Firm. Although they've been specialized in corporate law for years, Madarame sensei decides to open criminal division and assigns his top lawyer Sada Atsuhiro as Miyama's senior.
Criminal law is not popular because it doesn't produce a lot of money and the lawyer often had to involve in dirty crime scenes. But, Madarame sensei promises Sada to make him a partner if he manages to make a successful division.

Motivated (but sulky) Sada sensei now have to deal with eccentric Miyama Hiroto who often go to further length to investigate the truth.

Kagawa Teruyuki shows a disturbed senior character brilliantly. AS ALWAYS. There's no way you can't laugh watching his childish behavior when he can't take Hiroto's rebellious actions. However, no matter how harsh he looks outside, he can't do much when dealing with his controlling wife. She's so cute and although she's a housewife, she has complete power over him *that's a really cool housewife*

Matsujun's character is not bad. I think he fits this role: not too cool (like in Gokusen) or too emotional (like in Shitsuren Chocolatier). He's smart enough to ignore unnecessary mood burst from people who care for him (Akashi or Kanako). Seems to me he's pretty confident that they won't leave him. For the 7 episodes, it looks like Hiroto gives everything to solve cases, but there are reasons for his stubbornness. It has something to do with his late father.
