40 years old Nakahara Aki is a project leader of romantic RPG. The game is targeting girl (joshi) around 40 (usually called arafo "around 40"), so Aki feels really connected to her work. Aki, then asks the script writer of her favorite drama to be their consultant. However, this writer, Takayama Fumio is bitter guy who somehow forgot the skill of adult communication. He keeps offending Aki by saying that female on their 40s don't have right to be called joshi, because it's limited to those below 25. Thus, he refuses to advise the project.

However, when Takayama witnesses Aki being betrayed by her younger boyfriend, he suddenly soften. Still keeping his rude mouth, the writer joins the project meetings.
At the same time, Aki's best friends, Moeko and Midori are facing love problems as well. Moeko is still living with her annoying mother and wondering why she's found the right guy. Midori is a single mother of three sweet boys. Their kids are encouraging her to find new love, but the one she's interested with is the teacher of her youngest son.

I actually fed up with this genre. Do we really need to be reminded that lot of single people (especially woman) are desperate to get married, because I think most just happen because of social restrain. I think there are alot who think marriage is disaster, tho. Better check on divorce statistic.
Being with people who care is good and useful. But, being with someone because everyone else does is stupid.
I simply watch this for Oryo, who is quite pathetic longing for his boss. But, he's cute anyway, so let's just forgive him.
Moreover, this drama is much better than the last Shinohara's work, Last Cinderella. I'm quite enjoying her quarreling with Eguchi san, giving hints that they should have happy ending. XD

Still, the most lovable item in this dorama is Aki's companion, Chikuwa. The grumpy cat always makes my day. While having ugly face, he keeps "saying" good stuffs. Ah, tsundere cat is adorable.
