Without people realise, alien is already landed on earth. The small creatures infect human brains, taking over their bodies and use is as disguise to mingle among us.
That night, an alien tries to infiltrate Shinichi's head. But, it can't get inside because he's using earphone. It has no other choice but trying other part of his body. Shinichi stops it from taking over his body, but left his right hand eaten by the alien. It stays there.
The alien soon learns about human world. It calls itself Migi (right). Shinichi begins to live with alien on his right hand.
Later they encounter another aliens which sole purpose is to eat human. Even his teacher, Tamiya Ryoko is an alien. But, Tamiya is one with intelligence. She conducts various experiment leading to alien's evolution to live side by side with human. Even so, other aliens can't fight their hunger. Shinichi has to face those monsters to survive.
Surprisingly, it's good. I love the lines, especially when Migi says that human are closest to be called demon. It also argues that alien is not much different than human who eats animals and plants. I don't understand why Shinichi can't debate it. The answer is clear: animals and plants don't have feeling. They might become distressed, but it's all biological procedure. However, people can feel, therefore they turn sad, pained, and depressed. And they take it all day.
