Shunta and his mother just happened to pass by the district shopping area when they see the fortunetelling shop. The one welcome them is a young handsome man in traditional apparel. He introduces himself as Abe no Shomei. He listens carefully, does palm reading, and even practices exorcism.
Shunta soon recognizes this fraud pattern and tries to stop his mother from paying high fee. However, he accidentally pushes the fortune-teller, causing a jade vase broken. Abe no Shomei forces him to work as part timer to make it up.
This is a story about former host that opens fortune-teller shop. Hmm, I never consider Nishikido as ikemen, nor he has that flirty vibes in him. If you talk about host, isn’t it better to cast Inoue Masahiro? He has host smell from all over him, if you know what I mean. lol. Matsuzaka Tori is also fit the character.
Leaving the cast aside, I’m pretty much satisfied with this idea. Most people know that fortune telling, as much as other mystical activities, doesn’t have concrete & scientific proof. But, they keep using it. Why? It’s because deep inside us, we want to blame something for our unfortunate experiences. I know, it’s really contradictive behaviour for adults, as we should take all our actions in full responsibility. But, sometimes we just can’t take it anymore. We’d like to move the blame to something else to make us feel better.
