Helter Skelter

| Released: 2012
| Cast: Sawajiri Erika

“Mirror mirror in the wall, who’s the most beautiful in this world?”

Lilico is number one model now. Her popularity keeps rising and rising and the entire nation adores her beauty. They never knew that she got that from countless plastic surgeries.
Being super beauty, Liliko turns into narcissistic and live as selfish princess. Actually, she just wants to be loved. She enjoys having people look at her and wondering how is it feels to be like her.
Unfortunately, slowly her surgery fade and she starts seeing bad effect of the operation. Afraid of going ugly, Lilico, then, turns to drugs that lead her to hallucination. This will ruin her career.

Taking from hilarious manga, Helter Skelter serves the deep and gloomy side of beauty. It’s quite dark and it reminds me Franken Fran (manga). I get the feeling that Erika is somehow similar with Lilico. She’s arrogant that journalists call her “Erika sama”. She also gets her teeth fixed. Remember when she was portraying Aya in One Liter of Tears? She was not this perfect. O yeah, I think she’s beautiful and she acts well as crazy model here.

HMM, being beautiful is what every girl wants. We work hard to the point they say “beauty is painful”. O yeah, it’s painful to walk in high heels all day. It’s wasting time to wake up early to get your make up. It’s really tiresome to pick the right outfit for tomorrow. Lol *I do that*. However, if you have to do more than those like going for surgery, you really have serious mental problem. I feel pity for those who have to fix their own faces just to be wanted. Once you throw your face, you throw your past, you casts away your roots. One day when you had children, they’ll be as ugly as you were before and it’d make you even crazier.
