Two guys come to Iwashiro's brothel house and slices a whore badly. Though the Sheriff finds peaceful solution for this case, the girls won't forgive them so easy. Thus, they put bounty  with 1.000 yen reward for those who can kill those two.

Former Imperial Army's samurai, Kamata Jubei (notoriously known as "Jubei the Killer) is invited by his old friend, Baba Kingo, to take the challenge. After 10 years living peacefully in the skirt of Hokkaido, Jubei is drawn in poverty. He needs the money to survive the winter with his two kids.

Poverty can make people doing anything. A father can leave his two young kids to work, A beautiful woman can sell her body to crazy guys. But, when the price of your life depends on the money you have in your pocket, it's kinda sad, right?
