The world is invaded by shadow lines. Through these dark routes, monsters pass a city by city and turn them into gloomy place. 5 kids with amazing imagination are chosen to be tokkyuger to fight these villains.

It's hard to find originality in this 38th super sentai series. Lots of parts of it remind us of previous toku series. The train thing? check Kamen Rider Den O. Strong cute pink ? I think most pink does that, but Kagura reminds me of Ahim so much. And Mio is a copy of Luca. Aaah.

Probably the only originality I can take from this show is that they can dissolve their combination to dodge opponent's bullet. nice move! The heroes are taken from children who lost their village due to shadow line invasion, I think they finally get this on the right track as children's show. I love the idea of pushing imagination as tokkyuger's main weapon. It reminds us that children are not afraid of anything and they have imagination. Unlike the adults who strain themselves from doing dangerous acts because we just don't want to get hurt.

And I love this kid, Yokohama Ryusei who once played Jiro in Kamen Rider Fourze. I even start calling him Jiro because there are too many Ryusei out there, right? *wink*
