“Let’s wish our delicious bread reaches all of mankind”

Boulangerie Kurebayashi is a bakery which opens from 11 pm till 5 am. Kurebayashi Yousuke, the owner, used to work as salaryman overseas. But, since his wife, Miwako died in accident, he quits his job and continues her bakery in Japan. He’s an amateur though, but he has a good worker, Hiroki, that teach him making delicious bread.

One day, a mysterious high school girl appears in the bakery claiming to be Miwako’s step sister. Yousuke warmly welcomes her and lets her stay in the shop. Her name is Nozomi. Her mother left her and she’s an object of bullying at school that turns her into cold ignorant person. Though she’s troublesome, Yousuke and Hiroki treat her good. Soon, she learns the meaning of being in a family.

It’s really a simple story with lots of scenes you can find around you: a classmate who’s ambitious to be the center of attention, a mother who hit her son, or a nerd stalker. And somehow, those people connected into the bakery. I think we can watch this without even need to think hard.
