Zhou Zi Shu from Four Seasons Manor has been working as assassins for Prince Jin. After years, he grows tired of doing what he does best and asks to leave his post as Heaven's Window's chief. The only way to resign is going through a torture of having 7 nails planted to your body. Most people will lose their martial arts due to that process, and they'll die in few years.
Despite having limited time left, Zhou Zi Shu begins his wandering feeling no attachment to the world. He makes sure none from his previous job can distinguish him. But, he meets the easy going Wen Ken Xing and together they save a kid from his clan extermination. The kid, Zhang Cheng Lin owns a part of glazed armor. Rumor said when the glazed armor complete, it can open Rong Xuan's armory which contains various invincible martial arts books. The three tangles in martial arts' turnmoil.
Yes, this is BL.
But, let me talk about the things I care about.
I've seen Gong Jun in drama with Song Yiren. I don't find his acting exceptionally good, but it's appropriate for mentally unstable Wen Ke Xing. Sometimes his smile is so...creepy.
At the beginning of the story, Wen Ke Xing is pretty much a stalker. So, you see this is why it has to be a BL drama. It would very scary for a woman to be stalked like Wen Ke Xing does to A-Xu.
The wuxia's choreography is really good. It's been long since I see such a beautiful fighting scenes. The songs are good, too. If you like The Untamed, well it's pretty much the same vibe.
Probably the real reason I'm watching this is because of Zhang Zhe Han. It's a new role for Zhang Zhe Han. I haven't watch a lot, but every time he's playing historical drama, he plays alpha male with the look of girls during PMS. Thus, his smile is really precious. He's not the cold type here, he just quiet and looks mature...waiting for Wen Ke Xing to crack him open.
You see I've been watching him since he plays young Lin Shu in Nirvana In Fire. Hope he can land a good role in another Daylight production. He deserves it.
