He Bu Zui lost her taste since she was little. She makes use of her unique ability to drunk gambling. Being unable to taste anything is good, she never gets drunk. She needs to raise money to pay for her father's debt.
But, one day she encounters an arrogant sommelier named Lu Wei Xun. They accidentally kissed and his absolute taste is now transferred to He Bu Zui. She's delighted to be able to enjoy various food. On the other hand, losing taste is a disaster for Lu Wei Xun as his career depends on it.
He learns that the taste can be returned by kissed, but it only lasts for 60 minutes. Each time they kiss the effect decreasing by 10 minutes. They must find a cure before it becomes impairable!
Another typical drama where the girl always set lower than the boy. Is it because of the education? Well, gender inequality in education keeps narrowing in China. But, the discrimination remains. It's become culture and people can't change easily.
If there's something I learn from this kind of drama is that girl should work her best to get the best education, best personality, and best work to build confidence. When you're small, less educated, and poor, boy tends to treat you as lower than him. He Bu Zui is not an ideal girl, for sure. But, she perhaps represents the normal type of girl in the world. We're still living in a paradigm that girl should not exceed boy's ability, otherwise, he'll not get attracted to you.
I can't sympathize with a rude boy like Lu Wei Xun. We know his type of character is everywhere in romance drama: cool CEO, arrogant senior, bla bla. Normal people don't have time to understand why they're behaving that way. In LWX case, he lost his mother at a very young age. So? He didn't get motherly education and he's allowed to be impolite to other people? Shame on you, boy. We have to admit that society allows this kind of behavior by dubbing it "he's a boy, that's okay". No, that's not okay. No decent adult is allowed to speak rudely to other people.
This typical male domination might be the reason of my slow watching. I actually like the cast. Song Yiren is so cute and Gong Jun is handsome. While Zhang Yu Qing is not my kind pretty, I'm having a crush on her. Her style, confidence, all of it bedazzles me.
Plus, it's only 25 episodes. Perhaps I can finish it before the year end?
