Kakushidate Yakusuke claims to be the unluckiest man in the world. So, when he's accused of stealing company's SD card which contains company's secret project, he doesn't look very surprise. He's already gets used to it. Yakusuke calls who's that guy's , ehm, I mean, Horo Kizunai's detective office and asks to proof his innocence.
The one appears in front him is a unique detective called Okitegami Kyoko. Due to medical condition, Okitegami doesn't have long distance memory. She can't remember everything happened yesterday. Therefore, she always solves case within a day. And she's good at it.
It's true that bad memory lasts longer than happy times. We unconsciously store those uneasy feelings everytime we recall it. That's why people learn and sometimes afraid of going through the same things. However, to be able to overcome your fear is what makes you going forward. The barrier is in your head, just like the one built in Kakushidate's mind. He keeps telling himself that he's living a bad life and no matter what he does, he'll suck anyway. But, I like it when Okitegami points out the positive side of his traumatic experience, something he never thought before. I wonder if Okitegami's optimism is contagious.
