5 years ago, Sasaki Rena’s sister, Sakura, was killed by her stalker. Even after moving to her uncle’s house, the stalker was able to find Sakura with the help of a detective investigation. In hope of searching the detective, Rena enters Suma’s detective school and later hired as detective in his private eye’s firm. Suma lets Rena to work on special department called “Versus Detective”. Her job is to track down any detective activities which is against the detective’s code ethic. Suma also lets rookie Minemori Kotoha to be her assistant.
Rena stumbles upon ambitious Abiru Yoshinori, the owner of Abiru Detective Agency. Abiru tries to gain trust and respect from police by making false cases just to show his ability in front them. He finds Sasaki Rena as threatening, thus he makes several attempts to kill her. This detective is so slippery and wicked. Rena starts suspecting him as the detective who tipped Sakura’s killer.
This drama has unique plot and it’s killing me when they just reveal few facts in each episode. It’s thrilling if only it’s played by the right actors. Despite of her beautiful look, Kitagawa Keiko doesn’t fit someone who’s smart enough to speak long line. It must be tough on her. Although I must salut her work on action part. She’s good.
My image on Kawaguchi Haruna is calm but active. Not to be restraint by her sweet appearance, she’s the aura of strong willed and assertive person, like she showed us in Ouran Koukou Host Club or Kindaichi Shonen no Jikenbo N. Or at least that’s the kind of style she fit in my head. But, Minemori Kotoha is weak, slow, and a burden to Sasaki Rena, the chick type I dislike the most. Of course, there are other mysteries I expect Kotoha had, which later be explain in next episodes. But, for the first 4 episodes, her character drives me mad. lol.
While the female actreses are so beautiful, the male ones are very hard to fit. Okay Miura Takahiro is fine as hot-blooded detective. Kinda hope his character involves in romantic relationship with Sasaki Rena , that girl needs a private life. But, Sanatamaria Yusuke and Iura Arata are just not my favourite. Dean Fujioka is handsome, but his character is lousy. He keeps asking, stalking, and gossiping the duo Versus Detective members? That’s lame!
I think that’s partially contribute to the rating which decreasing each episode: (1) 11.9 (2)7.5 (3)8.7 (4)8.7. Too bad, I really enjoy the story.
