| Air: 2016.11.11 ~ 2016.12.06
| Episode: 54
| Cast: Tang Yan | Luo Jin | Vanness Wu | Mao Xiaotong

Feng Xin Er had it rough. When she was born, her father surrenders to Kingdom of Northern Wei and become an imperial prisoner. It takes years when they finally meet. But, by the time he's given permission to visit home, he's framed for mutiny. It was Li Min Feng, the oldest son of Prime Minister Li who escorts him back and traps him. He kills the entire Northern Liang's Imperial Family.

Fortunately, Xin Er escapes the deathly night. She's, then rescued by a country girl named Li Wei Young. This girl also shares the same sad story. Born as an illegitimate kid of Prime Minister Li, she's discarded to the mountain since she was little. The aunt who's supposed to take care of her treats her bad. But, Wei Young keeps showing kindness toward Xin Er.
One day, Prime Minister Li's mother asks to gather all the family for her birthday, including Weiyoung. She sends a maid to pick her and brings her back to Prime Minister Manor. The prime minister wife, Chiyun Rou finds her threatening so she has an assassin to kill Weiyoung. She's stabbed. Xin Er takes her identity to get into her enemy's territory. Her goal is ultimate: revenge.

Falling in love with the enemy

Who would thought the title can represent this story. Weiyoung (from this on, we'll gonna call Feng Xin Er as Weiyoung) can't help but fall for the imperial grandson, Tuoba Jun. He was always there when she's in danger. He's sincere and generous to everyone. His fighting skills are above other men, even Tuoba Han, the prince of Dongping who had a lot of military merits. And don't forget that they say he looks like Adonis. Nah.
Weiyoung sucks in a dilemma when she learns her crush identity. He's from the family who slaughter hers. Is it even appropriate to be around him?
Still, Tuoba Jun's love for her is so obvious. He treats her differently from another girl, even Li Chang Le, the most divine lady in the Capital. Chang Le, the Prime Minister's first daughter (Weiyoung's big sister) has been in love with Tuoba Jun since they were young.

It's full of catfights

If you expects some political fight, well you can get it. But, it's definitely a catfight. It's not a story about powerful men making decisions for the country, like in nirvana in Fire. It's more like a fight between step mother and step daughter. The stepmother wishes to be respected and given away for whatever she likes, but the stepdaughter refuses to stand down. Bullying, slapping, and canning is presented a lot here.
Not only that, you can also see how women's friendship as thin as the slice of ham (Yeah, I quote it from that Karina's dorama, Watashi ga Renai Dekinai Riyuu). One can turn again the sister she vows just because of man. Ugh.
Come to think about it, women's fight is not graceful, ha. Men's conflict is shown by can exchange some sarcastic but elegant world, but women are just spiteful. And it's coming in a circle, like a telenovela.

So, what to expect?
Nah, if you're not into dragging cinderella story, what to expect from this show?
One word: prettiness. If there's one thing that persistent in Chinese drama, it's the meticulousness to make a beautiful screen. Whether it's just pouring tea or lighting candle, they take a serious job to shot the scenes carefully. So, yeah, I'm here for the beautiful pictures.
And have you see those Tang Yan's posters? She's super pretty.
