Yone is stubborn woman who's kicked out from her husband's house. She's, then, re-married to Kobe's merchant, Suzuki. His husband is harsh, not only to her, but also to his employees. Even after 10 years, Yone doesn't feel her husband tenderness, instead she learns that the guy has another family.

Right when she's really down, she meets a young poor man from Tosa named Kaneko Naokichi. He's a talented merchant. Even though the master doesn't like him, he keeps supporting Suzuki Shouten with Yone.

When the master passed away, Yone takes over the shop and it rises quickly. Using his sharp business instinc, Kaneko drives the company to be one of the largest merchants in the world.

Yone and Kaneko have been stranded for so long. They're both bond in men's selfishness and poverty, but never stop dreaming big.  It's amazing story with amazing casts, don't you think so? I don't think I can cry if it wasn't for Amami san's or Shun's acting.
