Sawada Takuto only wants to make his parents happy. But, when his grade decreased on high school, they stop counting on him. Now, Takuto is on the verge of graduation from university majoring economy, but he finds it's difficult to get a job. On the other hand, his little brother, Riku, is preparing for medical school's exam. He'd be the hope of their parents to succeed the family hospital.
One day, Takuto meets Hongo Megumi, a fellow economic student who's also desperate on getting job. They become close and somehow they found reason to keep fighting for life. But, then he learns that he suffer from Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS)...
Having people putting their hopes on you is some kind of life motivation. It feels like you have meaning in life. That's why, I think Takuto is so miserable. Not only he 'fails' in his life, he also 'fails' being someone needed by his family. It hurts so much.
I'm sorry I didn't watch this from the first time, Haru chan. I thought this is just a drama which force me crying from the beginning. But, I was wrong. It's very well plot with deep dramatic scenes. I don't like the idea of people getting critical illness, but the other parts are very close to our reality: the harshness of finding job, the sibling rivalry, the work life.
